Toy/ Game/ Craft Invention

In 2023, I started coming up with concepts for toys and games, with the goal of getting an idea licensed. That same year, I attended Chicago Toy and Game Fair where I pitched a dexterity game, an accessory light-up toy, and an interactive book. In 2024, I had an idea chosen to be pitched at the Toy Association’s Creative Factor (Virtual). While my concept was not picked, it is now being represented by Bright Door Ideas. This year I’ll also be pitching several ideas at Mojo Nation’s Virtual Pitch. My inventing process usually involves:

  • Brainstorming ideas by seeing what’s currently out on the market, what’s trending, and figuring out what doesn’t exist

  • Creating 3D graphics of the concept in Adobe Illustrator or going straight into…

  • Prototyping by sculpting air clay, heating up and molding plastic pellets, or using parts of existing products. In some cases, I hire someone to create a 3D print of my design for a more refined prototype

  • Designing a sell sheet

  • Taking videos and creating a sizzle

  • Designing and mocking up potential packaging options

  • Putting together a deck

App Start Up: Mutualii

Friends. Matches. Interests.

Founded in 2020

Mutualii is a social app for finding friends, relationships, or both, based on mutual interests. Think Bumble/ Tinder meets Meetup. This was an idea I came up with a couple of years prior to hiring a development team to build the app. I created a mock-up, bootstrapped my way into Apple and Google Play stores, and designed the website and social media (Instagram & Facebook) accounts associated with it.
